This agreement applies when you authorise us to prepare, package and send your cards to a third-party grading company on your behalf. It is accepted at the point you confirm a submission.
1. What we do
We photograph and log each card, confirm the declared value with you, prepare the submission paperwork, package the cards, ship them to the grading company, track the submission, and return or list the cards when they come back.
2. What we do not do
We do not grade, authenticate, alter, clean, trim or restore cards. We do not influence the grade issued and cannot appeal a grade on a basis other than the grading company's own published process.
3. No guaranteed outcome
Any condition assessment shown in the platform before submission is an estimate based on the images and metadata available. It is not a prediction or a promise of the grade the grading company will issue. Cards may return ungraded, altered-flagged, or with a grade lower than expected, and fees remain payable.
4. Turnaround
Turnaround time is set and published by the grading company and can change without notice. Any timeframe shown to you is the grading company's published estimate plus shipping, not a commitment by us.
5. Declared value
You set the declared value for each card and confirm it before submission. Declared value determines the grading service tier, the grading fee and the maximum insurance cover available. Understating a declared value can reduce or void cover; overstating it increases fees.
6. Fees
Fees consist of the grading company's charges for the service tier selected, shipping and insurance in both directions, and our published handling fee. Fees are shown before you confirm and become payable once the submission is dispatched.
7. Insurance, loss and damage
Cards in our care are handled as described in our shipping policy and insured up to the declared value. While the cards are with the grading company or its carriers, the grading company's own liability terms apply and cap what can be recovered. We will pursue a claim on your behalf but cannot guarantee its outcome or amount.
8. Your authorisation and warranties
By confirming a submission you warrant that you own the cards or are authorised to submit them, that they are not stolen, counterfeit or known to be altered, and that the information you have given us about them is accurate.
9. Cancellation
A submission can be cancelled at no cost until it is packaged for dispatch. After dispatch it follows the grading company's process and its fees are non-refundable.
10. Return of cards
Graded cards are returned to the address on your submission record, or listed for sale if you have separately authorised that. Unclaimed cards are stored securely; we will contact you before taking any further step.
11. Questions
Questions about a submission can be sent to info@gradedcardvalue.com.
